Community Care

In 2023, we began a partnership with HOPE Clinic to serve our community.  Each month we accept donations of items in our HOPE CHEST found in the mall way at Connection.  Hope Clinic serves the whole person (physical, mental and spiritual)  and we want to help!
For the months of January - June we will be collecting these items:

•  Glucose Strips (Kroger, Amazon or Walmart)
• Glucose Meters (Kroger, Amazon or Walmart)
• Detergent Pods
• Shampoo/Conditioners
  
• Peanut Butter Jars (Backpack friendly)
• Tuna Fish pouches
• Canned Veggies and Fruit (with pop top or pull away lids)
• Boxes of Cereal

Our #loveserves team focuses on showing the love of Jesus both spiritually and practically through building relationships.   Currently, we are  putting our attention on a community of families where we host special events and ongoing summer craft workshops for children.   Following in the steps of Jesus, meeting people right where they are.  If you would like to get involved with our Community Care ministry,

Open Door Ministry (ODM) provides over 1.5 million pounds of food to families in need.  But providing food to under resourced families isn't our only goal.  Our ultimate goal is helping them to be able to provide food for themselves. We do this through our food pantry, job bank, ODM Graduate School, and one on one counseling. This is a community wide effort to provide meaningful help to those in need.    You can serve (packaging groceries, helping with job bank, distributing food or cleaning) on Thursday evenings anytime from 3pm - 8pm.
